આખા શહેરમાં કાળુ અંધારુ છવાઈ ગયુ હતું. કાળી ચાદર જાણે આખા શહેરમાં પથરાઈ ગઈ હતી. ગલ્લીઓ સુમસામ થઈ ગઈ હતી. કોઈ કોઈ વાહન ઝડપથી આવીને ચાલ્યુ જતુ હતુ. સોસાયટીમાં બધા ઘરના બારણા બંધ હતા. બધાની આંખોમાં જાણે નીંદરનું ઘેન ચઢ્યુ હતુ. પણ રાધેશ્યામની આંખોમાં આજે નીંદર જ ન હોતી આવી રહી. પલંગમાં ક્યારથી આમથી તેમ પડખુ ફરયા કરતા હતા. નીતા ને બાળકો, પણ રજાના દિવસો ચાલતા હોવાથી. નીતા બાળકોને લઈને પોતાના માતા પિતાના ઘરે ગઈ હતી. સવારે ફોન કરીને નિતાએ સાર સંભાળ પણ લીધી હતી. આમ રોજે સવાર સાંજ ફોન પર વાત થઈ જતી. નિતા જ્યારથી ઘરમાં આવી ત્યાર થી
