’’ ડોકટર દીદી, મને થોડી મદદ કરશો. મારે થોડું પુણ્ય કર્મ કમાવું છે હું દદર્ીઓને કેળા અને બિસ્કીટનું દાન કરૂં તો તમને તકલીફ તો નહીં ને’’ડોકટર દીદી અને શમીનાબેનનો એ પહેલો પરીચય. શમીનાબેન એ હોસ્પીટલમાં સાફ સફાઈ ની દેખરેખ અને દદર્ીઓની સુખાકારી તથા દેખરેખનું કામ કરે. એમ માની લો જનરલ મેનેજર શમીનાબેન ૧ર સુધી ભણેલા અને ખુબ ચબરાક હતા.હોસ્પીટલની બધી પ્રવૃતીઓ પર તેમની દેખરેખ રહેતી. ડોકટર દીદીનો આજે પહેલો દીવસ હતો.હોસ્પીટલમાં જેમ જેેમ દિવસો વિતતા ગયા તેમ ડોકટર દીદી અને શમીનાબેન મિત્ર બની ગયા.ડોકટર દીદીના દીદર્ી થી લઈને ધબ્ચ્મ્ ની દેખરેખ, સાફ સફાઈ અને ઘણુ બધુ શમીનાબેન આરામથી જોઈ લેતા.ડોકટર
