આજે સતત ત્રીજા દિવસે એવા દર્દીને મળવાનું થયું જેમના સંતાનો તેમનાથી દૂર કોઈ અન્ય શહેર કે વિદેશમાં વસતા હોય. વિદેશમાંથી તો એમ દોડીને આવવું શક્ય નથી પણ ગંભીર માંદગી કે ઓપરેશનની જરૂરીયાત હોય ત્યારે દુરાગ્રહ રાખ્યા વગર હું હંમેશા ફ્રેન્ડલી અને non-assertive ટોનમાં કહેતો હોઉં છું, ‘એમને બોલાવી લો ને !’ તો વળી ક્યારેક જરૂર ન હોવા છતાં અને મારી ‘ના’ હોવા છતાં સંતાનો રાતોરાત સુરત કે મુંબઈથી નીકળી જાય છે. એ એમની ચિંતા હોય કે નિસબત, કાળજી હોય કે ફરજ, કંઈક તો એવું બળ હોય છે જે તેમને બીજા બધાં જ કામ પડતા મૂકીને તાત્કાલિક દોડી આવવા માટે મજબુર
