માતા અને પિતાની છત્રછાયા વગર સોમો ઉછર્યો હતો. બે ભાઈઓમાં સોમો નાનો. સોમાને મોટો ભાઈ ખૂબ ચાહતો અને હરખાતો. બન્ને વચ્ચે ઉમરમાં ઝાઝો ફરક હતો. ઘણા વર્ષે સોમાની માને દિવસ ચડ્યાં હતાં. તેથી માએ મુખ ભાળ્યું ન ભાળ્યું ત્યાં તો ગામતરે ગઈ. “આ સોમો છે તેનો ઉપલો માળ ખાલી છે.” નાનપણથી આ વાક્ય સાંભળીને સોમો મોટો થયો હતો. પિતાને રાજ રોગ થયો હતો. સોમાના જન્મ પહેલાં જ પિતા આ ફાની દુનિયા છોડી જતા રહ્યા હતા. માને આ ઘા કાળજે લાગ્યો હતો. સોમાને જન્મ આપી, મોટાભાઈને હવાલો સોંપાયો. પિતા સારા એવા પૈસા મૂકીને ગયા હતા. પ્રેમાળ ભાઈએ તેનો એક પણ પૈસો
