રણમાં ખીલ્યું ગુલાબ:ફલક તક સાથ ચલને કી ના દુઆ કીજિયે જિન્દા હૂં જમીં પર મૈં, પહલે યહાં વફા કીજિય હવે આરવી નામનો કાંટો દૂર થઇ ગયો હતો. ‘બ્રેક-અપ’નું કારણ ગમે તે હોય, પણ ‘બ્રેક-અપ’નું પરિણામ તો નિગાહને ‘ગમે’ તેવું જ રહ્યુંપ્રહર, આજ-કાલ તમે ઉદાસ દેખાવ છો. ઘરમાં બધું બરાબર તો છે ને?’ નિગાહે એની જ ઓફિસમાં, એની બાજુમાં બેસીને કામ કરતા પ્રહરને સાવ સ્વાભાવિક અને ઔપચારિક પ્રશ્ન પૂછ્યો. પ્રહર બીજી બધી રીતે સારો હતો પણ સ્વભાવથી એ અતડો હતો. ઓફિસમાં કોઇની સાથે બહુ ભળતો ન હતો. જેટલું પૂછો એટલાનો જ જવાબ આપે. વધારે કોઇ વાતચીત નહીં. બપોરના ટી-બ્રેકના સમયમાં પણ
