શિયાળાની સવાર હતી. કુણો તડકો પડી રહ્યો હતો. નાના ભૂલકાઓ સ્વેટર - જર્સી પહેરીને શાળાએ જવા નીકળી પડ્યા હતા. ગામના વડીલો કે જે સૌથી પહેલા જાગી જતા હોય, તેઓ ગામના ચોરે બેઠા બેઠા 'ખૂબ અગત્યની ચર્ચાઓ' કરી રહ્યા હતા.તો ક્યાંક સુંદર પનિહારીઓ પાણી ભરવા જઇ રહી હતી, એમના વૃંદમાંથી કાબરોના કલબલાટ જેવો મધુર અવાજ આવી રહ્યો હતો.એક પશુ પાલક એના માલઢોરને ચારવા માટે લાઇ જઇ રહ્યો હતો.એ ગાય ભેંસના 'ભાંભરવાનો અવાજ' પણ આ સુંદર સવારના સૌંદર્યમાં થોડે ઘણે અંશે વધારો કરી રહ્યો હતો.ગામના ચોરાની બરોબર સામે જ શાક માર્કેટ હતી.ગૃહિણીઓ બની શકે એટલા ઓછા ભાવમાં સારું અને વધારે શાકભાજી ખરીદવાના
