ધોધમાર વરસાદનો પ્રવાહ જેમ ધસમસી રહ્યો હતો તેમ સુનિધિનું મન પણ ભૂતકાળમાં ધસમસી રહ્યું હતું. એ સાંજે પણ આવો જ ધોધમાર વરસાદ વરસી રહ્યો હતો કાળું મેષ આભ પોતાનાં અંતરના બધાજ અશ્રુઓ જાણે એકસાથે વહાવી નાંખવાની જીદ લઈને બેઠું હતું. વાદળોનો ગડગડાટ તોફાની વાતાવરણને વધુ ભયંકર બનવમાં પોતાની સહાયતા હોંશે હોંશે પૂરી પાડી રહ્યું હતું. કોઈ પૂર્વ તૈયારી વગર જેમ આ તોફાની વરસાદ ધસમસી આવ્યો હતો તેમ જ આજે તેનાં મનનાં વિચારો તેના ઉપર હાવી થઈ તેને ભૂતકાળમાં ધકેલી દીધી હતી. આ એવી જ એક તોફાની વરસાદી સાંજ હતી જ્યારે તે અને નીશીત આમ એકાએક વરસતા વરસાદમાં મળી ગયા હતા.
