શ્યામા નાનપણ થી જ શિવજી ની ભક્ત. દરરોજ શિવાલય જઇને પૂજા,અર્ચના કરવી એ તેનો નિત્યક્રમ. ગમે ત્યા ભજન કિર્તન હોય એટલે શ્યામા ત્યા અચૂક હાજર હોય ,તેના શિવ ભજન જેટલા સુંદર એટલો જ સુંદર એનો રાગ,જેને સાંભળતા લોકો મંત્રમુગ્ધ થઈ જાય.જેથી જ્યા પણ સત્સંગનો કાર્યક્રમ હોય ત્યા શ્યામા ને આમંત્રણ હોય.બ્રાહ્મણ પરિવાર માં જન્મેલ હોવાથી ધર્મપરાયણ શ્યામા કોઈનેય ના ન પાડતી.શ્યામા હવે યુવાની ના ઉંબરે પ્રવેશી ચૂકી હતી, ને સારા ઘરો માંથી લગ્ન ની વાત આવવા માંડી હતી,પણ શ્યામા એમ કહી ચોખ્ખી ના પાડતી કે હું તો એ વ્યકિત સાથે પરણીશ જે મારી જેમ જ પાક્કો શિવ ભક્ત હોય નહીંતર
