અંધકાર તો કાયમી છે, તેના પર સૂરજની રોશની પડે અને અજવાળું ફેલાય છે. તેવી રીતે જ ઉદાસીનતા અને દુઃખ-દર્દ રૂપી દુષ્કાળ તો કાયમી છે, પરંતુ તેના પર ખુશીઓનો વરસાદ થાય તો જ જિંદગીમાં જીવવા લાયક હરિયાળી છવાય. આ ખુશીઓનો વરસાદ કોણ વધારે કરી શકે, તેના માટે બે બાબતો વચ્ચે સતત હરીફાઈ થતી આવી છે. પૈસા કે પ્રેમ ???થોડા દિવસ પહેલા સમાચાર મળ્યા કે, શહેરના ખ્યાતનામ ડોક્ટરને કોરોના ભરખી ગયો. પૈસા પુષ્કળ કમાયા તેમણે, પરંતુ છેલ્લા થોડાક વર્ષોથી તેઓ એકલા જ રહેતા. ખાવા-પીવાની તમામ વ્યવસ્થા જાતે જ કરી લેતા. તે દિવસે પણ ખાવાનું હાજર હતું, પણ ખવડાવવા વાળું કોઈ નહોતું. ઓક્સિજન-વેન્ટિલેટર
