આકાશે અષાઢી વાદળોની પરિષદ ભરાયેલી હતી. દક્ષિણ દિશામાંથી ફૂંકાતાં પવનમાં ક્યાંક વરસાદે ધરતીને ભેટયાની ભીની ભીની માદક ફોર્મ આવી રહી હતી. કાળા ડિબાંગ વાદળો થી સ્વચ્છ અને દુધમલ આકાશ મેલું ભાસતું હતું . હજુ પક્ષીઓનો મંદ મંદ કોલાહલ ગુંજી રહ્યો હતો. વૃક્ષોની ડાળીઓ પવન ને ભેટવા માટે અધિરી થઈ રહી હતી. સૂર્ય તો ક્યારનો ક્ષિતિજના ખોળે બેસી ગયો હતો. રસ્તાની બાજુ ની ઝાડીમાંથી તમરાનો તમ તમ સવાજ સંભળાઈ રહ્યો હતો. રસ્તા પર સૂકાં પાંદડા વેર વિખેર પડ્યાં હતાં. દિશાઓ સુમસાન હતી. દૂર દૂર સુધી કોઈ જીવનો અણસાર દેખાતો ન હતો.
