પીઝાનો એક ટુકડોઆજે પણ ઓફિસમાં જ મોડું થઈ ગયું. ખૂબ મોડું. ઊંચા પગારની નોકરી કરવા એટલી તો તૈયારી જોઈએ જ. મેં સહુ ટીમ મેમ્બર્સને ગુડનાઈટ કહી બાઇક ભગાવ્યું. ટ્રાફિક આટલી મોડી રાત્રે પણ સરખો એવો હતો. શુક્રવારની રાત. શહેર હવે બે દિવસ 'રાતકો ખાઓ પીઓ દિનકો આરામ કરો' ના મુડમાં આવી ગયું. ક્યાંક ફુગ્ગાવાળાઓ, તો ક્યાંક રમકડાં વેંચતા ફેરિયા, ગોળાવાળા, ખાણીપીણીની લારીઓ અને એના પર મધપુડે ભમતી મધમાખીઓની જેમ લોકો. સસ્તી અને સારી હોટલો બંધ થઈ ગયેલી. લારીઓ હવે જ ધમધમતી થઈ હતી. હું હજુ એકલવીર. પેટપુજા કરવા- અરે રે, પીઝા સિવાય મારે કોઈ આરો નથી. હું ઘર નજીકની, રાત્રે મોડા
