એક રાજ્ય માં બહુ પરાક્રમી રાજા રહેતો હતો...તેનો ખૂબ જ ભવ્ય મહેલ હતો..તેના ભવ્ય ઓરડા ની બહાર એક સુંદર ઝરુુુુખો હતો... તેેની બરાબર સાામે એક સુંદર બગીચો હતો...તે બગીચામાંં જાત જાતના ફૂલો , ફળો ના વૃક્ષો હતાં... ત્યાં રોજ પરોઢિયે સુંદર પક્ષી ઓ આવે...રાજા વહેલા જાગીને ઝરુખા માં બેસી ને ,એ પક્ષી ઓ નો કલરવ સાંભળે....એક દિવસ... ત્યાં એક આકર્ષક અને રંગબેરંગી પોપટ પણ ત્યાં આવ્યો....રાજા ને તે ખૂબ જ ગમી ગયો...તેને થયું જો આ પોપટ મારા ઝરુખા માં હોય,તો મારી અને મારા મહેલ ની શાન વધી જાય....?... હવે તો રાજા એ જીદ પકડી... સૈનિકો ને બોલાવી ને હુકમ કર્યો
