ઝરણાની પેલે પાર...ઘરે જઈને એણે ફટાફટ પોતાના રૂમનું બારણું બંધ કર્યું. અને એ સાથે જ માંડ માંડ રોકી રાખેલા અશ્રુઓનો બંધ તૂટી ગયો. પારી રીતસરની પથારીમાં ફસડાઈ પડી. પારી.. આમ તો એનું નામ પારિજાત પણ લાડમાં બધા એને પારી જ કહેતા. અમદાવાદના નીચલા મધ્યમ વર્ગનું સૌથી નાનું સંતાન હતી એ, ભાઈ બહેનની એકદમ લાડકી.! એને નાનપણથી જ પરીકથામાં વિશ્વાસ. સફેદ ઘોડા ઉપર એક રાજકુમાર આવશે અને એને ક્યાંય દૂર દેશમાં લઈ જશે એ સપનું એણે નાનપણથી જ આંખમાં આંજીને રાખ્યું હતું. જેમ જેમ મોટી થતી ગઈ એમ એમ એ વાસ્તવિકતાથી પરિચિત થતી ગઈ અને એણે પોતાના સ્વપ્નને દફનાવવાનું નક્કી કરી લીધું.એવામાં
