માસ્તર સાહેબ કરિયાણાની દુકાને આવીને ઊભા રહ્યા. સુઘડ કપડાં, ઇનશર્ટ કરેલ શર્ટ,પગમાં પોલિશ કરેલાં બ્લેક શૂઝ પહેરેલા હતાં. બીજાં ગ્રાહક વસ્તુની ખરીદી કરી લે તેની વાટે એકબાજુ અદપ વાળી ઉભા હતા. કોઇ અધીરાઈ નહિ કોઈ ઉતાવળ નહીં.મોઢે માસ્ક લગાવેલો.પોતાનો વારો આવતાં, દુકાનનાં કાઉન્ટર નજીક જઈ ને ખિસ્સામાંથી યાદીની ચિઠ્ઠી કાઢી. ચિઠ્ઠીને ચશ્મામાંથી નજર કરી બરાબર વાંચી.યાદીમાં એક તેલનો ડબ્બો, પાંચ કિલો ખાંડ,કિલો ચા, પાંચકિલો ભાત, બે કિલો રેંટિયો તુવેર દાળ લખેલાં હતાં. માસ્તર સાહેબ ને આવેલાં જોઈ ને શેઠે અણગમો પ્રગટ કરતાં પરાણે આવકાર આપ્યો.
