વિચારો નહી,સાહેબ!આતો નસીબની લીફ્ટ છે, કયારેક ફસ્ટ ફલોર,તો કયારેક ગ્રાઉન્ડ ફલોર ! મીરજાપુર નામનું ગામ હતુ, નાનુ એવુ પણ સુખી અને સમૃદ્ધ ગામ! એજ ગામમાં ગરીબ ધરના "ભીખાભાઈ મહેશ્વરી" નામના ૬૫ વર્ષીના વડીલ વ્યક્તિ રહેતા હતા.જેમના ધર્મપત્ની એક વર્ષ પહેલા ગુજરી ચુકયા હતા અને આજ એમના બે દિકરાઓ જોડે રહેતા હતા. ભીખાભાઈ સ્વભાવે ઓછાબોલા અને દયાળુ વ્યકિત હતા. જીવનભર ભીખાભાઈ એ મજુરી કરી કરીને પરીવારના પેટ પાળ્યા હતા. એમનો રોજનો નિત્યક્રમ,"સવારે નાહી-ધોઈ,ભગવાનને યાદ કરીને પગે ચાલીને ગામના વડના ઓટે જઇ બેસતા. અમુક ગામના વડીલ માણસો ત્યા ભેગા થાય અને સુખ દુ:ખ ની વાતો
