એક કંપનીમાં બોસ દર ૨૫મી ડિસેંબરના રોજ એનાં ૩૦૦ માણસોના સ્ટાફ પાસેથી એક-એક હજાર ઉઘરાવીને ૩ લાખ જમા કરતો અને એમાં પોતાનાં તરફથી ૩ લાખ ઉમેરીને ૬ લાખની લોટરી ડ્રો કાઢતો. એમાં જેનું નામ નીકળતું, એને ૬ લાખ બક્ષિસરૂપે મળતાં. એ કંપનીમાં જાડું-પોતા કરવાવાળી બાઈને રૂપિયાની બહું જરૂર હતી, એનાં દીકરાનું ઓપરેશન કરવાનું હતું. લોટરી એક જુગારની રમત હતી. એને ન લાગે તો દેખીતી રીતે એને હજારનું નુકસાન થાય એમ હતું, છતાં એણે હજાર રૂપિયાનું જોખમ લીધું હતું. એ ભગવાનને પ્રાર્થના કરતી હતી કે લોટરી એને જ લાગે.મેનેજરને એની
