ગાંધીનગરના સ્વામિનારાયણ મંદિરથી ઇન્દ્રોડા સર્કલ સુધીનો રસ્તો રાતના સમયે જરા વધુ પડતો સૂમસામ હોય છે એમાં પણ શિયાળાની રાત્રે તો ત્યાં માણસોની કોઈ અવરજવર જ હોતી નથી. એકલદોકલ ગાડીઓના અવાજ સિવાય નીરવ શાંતિ આ રોડ ઉપર પથરાયેલી હોય છે. આવા સૂમસામ રસ્તા ઉપર શિયાળાની રાત ના લગભગ 10:30 વાગે સરિતા ઉદ્યાન થી સહેજ આગળ એક યુવતી પોતાના અચાનક બંધ પડી ગયેલા એક્ટિવાની કિકો ઉપર કીકો મારતી હતી. યુવતી આવા નિર્જન રસ્તા ઉપર ખૂબ જ ગભરાયેલી હાલતમાં એકટીવા ચાલુ કરવાની કોશિશ કરતી હતી. 15 મિનિટ કોશિશ કર્યા પછી કોઈ ગાડી વાળા ની મદદ લેવા માટે એ હાથ લંબાવવાનો વિચાર કરતી હતી
