માથા થી પગ સુધી પાણીમાં ભીંજાયેલા કરીમને ઘરની અંદર જોઈને શબાનાએ બુમ પાડી , “ બહાર જ લૂછાઈને અંદર નહોતા આવી શકતા ? સીધા ઘરમાં જ આવી ગયા . એવું પણ ન વિચાર્યું કે ઘરની ફરસ પર પાણી પાણી થઈ જશે.કરીમ શબાના નો કટાક્ષ સાંભળીને ગુસ્સે તો થયો,પરંતુ તેને ચુપ રહેવાનો ઈશારો કરીને તે ખૂણામાં પડેલી ખુરશી પર બેસી ગયો. કંઈક શોધતી નજરથી ચારેય બાજુ જોઈને કરીમએ પોતાનો પાયજામો ઢીલો કરી અને તેની કમરમાં બાંધેલો માટીનો લોંદો જમીન પર પડ્યો “આ શું છે ? ” કરીમ એ “ માલિકના કુવામાં ડોલ પડી ગઈ હતી.તેને કાઢવા માટે જ્યારે હું
