ખળ ખળ નદીના નિર્મળ નીરનું સંગીત રેલાઈ રહ્યું હતું. પક્ષીઓ નો કલરવ એની મધુરતામાં વધારો કરતું હતું. સૂર્ય ક્ષિતિજની બાહોમાં છુપાઈ જવા માટે દોડી રહ્યો હતો. સંધ્યાની લાલી આકાશના કલરવ પર રંગોળી દોરી રહી હતી. નદીના નીરને બાથમાં ભરીને પવન ધરતી પર ઊગી નીકળેલા ઘાંસને ભીંજવી રહ્યો હતો. ઘટાદાર આંબાના વૃક્ષની મધ્યમાંથી કોઈ કોયલ કૂહુ... કુહું.... પોકારી રહી હતી. ચારે દિશામાંથી પક્ષીઓ પોતાના ઘર તરફ પાછા ફરી રહયાં હતાં ગોવાળો પોતાની ગાયો ને ગામ ભણી દોરી રહયાં હતાં. હવે તો આખો દિવસ અગન ઝાળ વરસાવતો ગોળો પણ એક પર્વતની ગોદમાં માથું નાખી ને સૂઇ ગયો હતો.
