સવારમાં ઉઠતાની સાથે માધુ સીમ ભણી દોડ્યો, એની આંખોમાં ઉલ્જણ અપાર હતી, હાફળો ફફાડો મેલાં કપડાં ધારણ કરી, વિખરાયેલાં અલયબદ્ધ વાળ, એમાંય ક્યાંક ક્યાંક પાકેલાં રંગની છાંટ, ઉંમરથી પરિપક્વ બનેલી કસાયેલી ચામડી ને એમાંય સીમમાં કરેલી મજૂરી થકી બદલાયેલો ઘેરો રંગ,પગમાં ત્વરિત ઝડપ એવી કે જોડા પહેર્યાં વગર દોટ મૂકી એ જોઈ સૌને અજબ લાગ્યું કે કોઈ દિવસ ઠાકોરજીની સેવા કર્યા વગર ઘરની બહાર ના નીકળનાર વ્યક્તિને આજે આમ જોવું નવીન હતું! ઓસરીથી પરસાળ સુધી આવતા આવતાં એને સીમમાં લઈ જવાના સાધનો લૂગડાં બધુંય ભેગું કરી નાખ્યું
