ભય પમાડે એવું અંધકાર અને લાંબી દીવાલો ના ટેકે ઘુટણ થી પગ વાળી ને મોઠું નીચે રાખી એ બેઠો હતો, એક નાનકડી બારી માંથી આછો અજવાસ ધીરે ધીરે આખો રૂમ માં પ્રસરવા લાગ્યો હતો. મહા મેહનતે એણે ડોક ઊંચી કરી તે બારી તરફ જોતો રહ્યો . રાતી આંખો ઉજાગરા ના ચાડા કરતી હતી, લાંબી દાઢી, સફેદ વાળ, મોઢા માં કરચલીઓ નો ભાર , હાથો ની ઉપસેલી નસો તેના ઉમર ની ચાડી કરતી હતી અને એના મોટા નખ ભય પમાડે ... પણ આછા અજવાસ ને જોઈ તેના હોઠ મલક્યા હતાં , આંખો માં નવી આશા નું કિરણ પ્રસરી રહ્યુ હતુ.
