સોફા પર બેસેલો નિરવ વિચારમાં ગરકાર થઇ ગયો હતો. ચહેરા ઉપર ચિંતાની રેખા, લાલ-લાલ આંખો અને તેમાંથી વહેતા અશ્રુ પરિસ્થિતિની ગંભીરતા વ્યક્ત કરતા હતા. પત્ની મીરાના વાક્યો વારંવાર નિરવનાં કાનમા ગુંજતા હતા..... 'આખરે પસંદ ન હતી તો લગ્ન કેમ કર્યાં ? ' પતિ - પત્ની વચ્ચેતો આવું ચાલ્યાજ કરે ને! પણ આ પ્રથમ વારનો ઝઘડો ન હતો પણ છેલ્લા એક વર્ષથી આ સિલસિલો દરરોજનો થઇ ગયો હતો.સોફા પર માથું ટેકવી શાંતિથી આંખો બંધ રાખી બેસેલા નિરવ ને વિચારો એ ઘેરી લીધો હતો. તેની આંખો સમક્ષ ફક્ત એકજ ચહેરો હતો "રાધિકા".
