ધડામ.. દઈને પ્રિયલે મોબાઈલ ફેંક્યો. ઉપરના રૂમમાં ફેંકાયેલા ફોનનો અવાજ છેક નીચે સોફામાં બેસેલા એના પપ્પા વિરાજ અને રસોઈ બનાવતી નિયતિના કાન સુધી પણ અથડાયો. છતાં બંન્ને ચૂપ રહ્યા. વિરાજ ઉપર ગયો, પણ દરવાજો અંદરથી લૉક હતો. 'પ્રિયલ? બધું ઠીક છે બેટા? ચાલ જમી લે હવે.' 'હા, પપ્પા. આવું થોડી વારમાં' ( ગળગળા સ્વરમાં પ્રિયલે કહ્યું) વિરાજ સમજી ગયો હતો જે થયું એ, એની ઈચ્છા થઈ દરવાજો ખોલીને અંદર જલાની પણ વ્હાલસોયી દીકરી, જેના પડ્યા બોલથી વિરાજ તરત જ વસ્તુ હાજર કરી દેતો, ઓફિસથી આવીને આખુ ઘર પ્રિયા પ્રિયાના નામથી ગજવી દેતો. એ પ્રિયલથી એક વાતમાં નારાજગી ઊભી થઈ. અને
