૧૯ મી સદીની વાત છે. સૌરાષ્ટ્રના એક મોટા રાજ્યમાં દિવાનપદ ધરાવતા પિતાને ત્યાં ' મોહન ' નો જન્મ થયો. સ્વભાવે શરમાળ પ્રકૃતિ ધરાવતો મોહન એક સાધારણ છોકરો હતો. તે કોઈની સાથે વાત કરતા પણ ડરે, જલ્દી કોઈની સાથે હળેમળે નહિ, પોતાના પડછાયાથી પણ ડરનાર આ છોકરાને જોઈને બધાને એમ જ લાગે આ પોતાના જીવનમાં કંઇ જ નહિ કરી શકે..પેલું કેહવાય છે ને કે, ' માથે પડ્યો ' એમ એના માટે પણ કહેવાતું. પરંતુ તેની મદદે આવે છે તેને પોતાના પરિવાર તરફથી મળેલા સંસ્કાર.
