એક પરી હતી.તેને પંખીઓ સાથે ખુબ લગાવ હતો.તેની પાસે તેના મહેલમા ઘણાબધા જાતજાતના-ભાતભાતનાંપંખીઓ હતા.દેશ-પરદેશના પંખીઓ હતા.તેમાથી એક ચકલી પરી ની ખુબ જ ગમતી હતી.એ ચકલીને હજી હમણા હમણા જ મહેલ માં લાવવામા આવી હતી.પરીએ ચકલીનુ નામ પણ પાડયુ હતુ "કુમારી". પરીનુ જયારે મન થાય ત્યારે તેની પાસે રહેલી મેના,કાબર,બીજી ચકલીઓનો શણગાર કરતી.તેવી જ રીતે "કુમારી ચકલી"ને તો પરી હંમેશા શણગાર કરતી.તેના માટે પરીએ ગળામા પહેરવાની માળા પોતાના હાથે બનાવી હતી. ખુબ જ ઓછા સમયમા પરીને કુમારી ચકલી સાથે લગાવ થઇ ગયો.પરી જયા પણ જાય કમારી ચકલીને લઇને જ જાય. એક દિવસ
