શિયાળા ની રાત હતીને બરાબર જાન્યુઆરી માસ ની ઠંડીએ કચ્છ ના નાનકડા ગામ મા રંગ જમાવ્યો. ગામ ની આજુબાજુ ખારોપાટ દરિયો અને નજીકનું રણ જાણે કે કુદરતી વિરોધાભાસ ની વચ્ચે કાતીલ ઠંડી અને એવામા મૂંગા જીવ પણ ક્યાંક ગરમ ખૂણો ગોતીને લપાઈ ગયા હોય ત્યારે કોઈ માણસ જાત તો ઘરમાંથી બહાર નીકળવાની હિમ્મત જ ક્યાંથી કરે? ઠંડી માં બધું જ શાંત પડ્યું હોય એટલે દૂર દૂર સુધી જાત જાત ના અવાજો ચોખ્ખા જ સંભળાય. એમાંય મારા ઘર ફરતે તો ખુબ જ હરિયાળી ને જંગલ જેવો માહોલ. આસપાસ ના વૃક્ષો સુસવાટા મારતા પવન સાથે અથડાઈને ટર-ટર અવાજો કરીને મસ્તીએ ચડ્યા હોય
