સીટી હોસ્પિટલ ના પગથિયાં આજે મારા માટે હિમાલય ચઢવા જેટલા અઘરાં લાગતા હતા. છતાં મન મક્કમ કરી ગભરાતી હું ઉપર ચઢી ગઈ. મિસ્ટર મહેતા જીવન મરણ વચ્ચે નો આખરી જંગ ખેલી રહ્યા હતા. એમને આ પરિસ્થિતિમાં ધકેલનાર હું જ હતી. મારાથી એમની હાલત જોવાઈ એમ ન હતી. અને એમનાથી કરુણ પરિસ્થિતિ તેમની પત્ની અને બાળકોની હતી મિસ્ટર મહેતા ને મળવા સીટી હોસ્પિટલ પહોંચી એ આઈસીયુમાં હતા ત્યાં બહાર જ એમના પત્ની બેઠા હતા,એમની નજીક જઈ હું નતમસ્તકે બે હાથ જોડીને ઊભી રહી અને કહ્યું તમને આવી પરિસ્થિતિમાં ધકેલનાર એ બીજું કોઈ નહીં પણ હું
