‘આજે આવવા દો માધવને ઘરે, વાત છે એની’, આશાબેન આમથી તેમ આંટા મારતા જાય અને બબડતા જાય. આશાબેનના સાસુ, મણીબેન એમને શાંત પાડવા પ્રયત્ન કરે છે,‘ આવતો જ હશે હવે, મગજ ઠંડું રાખ.’ ‘બા, શું તમે પણ. પંડિતજીએ ફોનમાં શું કીધું સાંભળ્યું ને તમે ?’ ‘એ જ કે માધવ મંદિર નથી પહોંચ્યો.’ ‘બા, એ કાંઈ એટલી નાની વાત નથી જે રીતે તમે કહી રહ્યા છો.એણે ત્યાં પૂજાસામગ્રી આપવા જવાનું હતું. અને એ ભાઈ ખબર નથી ક્યાં ઉપડ્યા હશે.' ‘આવે એટલે પૂછી લેજે. હમણાં શાંત થા.' એટલામાં મંદ મંદ હસતા માધવ આવે છે.અને આવતાં
