બપોરનો સમય કંટાળાજનક હોય છે. તેમાં પણ જો કોઇની રાહ જોતાં હોય તો સમય એક એક સેકન્ડનો એક એક દિવસ જેવો લાગે છે. રેલ્વે સ્ટેશન પર બેઠેલ હિરલ વાંકાનેરની ટ્રેનની રાહ જોઈ રહી હતી અને આજે તે ટ્રેન તેના નિર્ધારિત સમયથી 30 મિનિટ લેઈટ હતી. થોડી થોડી વારે ઘડિયાળમાં અને પ્લેટફોર્મ પર નજર નાખતી હિરલ કંટાળીને ઘરે કહી ચૂકી હતી કે, “મમ્મી, મારી ટ્રેન આજે લેઈટ છે તો આવવામાં મોડું થશે.” મમ્મીએ કહ્યું, “સંભાળીને આવજે, ટ્રેનમાં સામાન સરખી જગ્યાએ મુકજે, વગેરે વગેરે.” “હા, મમ્મા હા, તારી દીકરી હવે મોટી થઈ ગઈ છે.” હિરલે થોડો સ્વર ઊંચો કરીને કહ્યું. પપ્પા બાજુમાં જ બેઠા હતા
