ગામડાં ગામમાં જ્યારે પંખીડાંવ ઉઠી ને આળસું મરડતા હોઈ, સુરજ હજિ તો મોઢું ધોઈ નીકળવા ની તૈયારીયું કરતો હોઇ, પનિહારીઓ ઘરેથી નીકળી ચોકમાં એકબીજાંની રાંહુ જોતી ઉભી હોઈ, દૂર ક્યાંક આંબે બેઠી કોયલ ટહુકા કરતી હોય એવી વહેલી સવારે જીવલો જાણે કે એને આ દુનિયા હારે કોઈ નિસ્બત જ નથી, પોતાનું ગાડું જોડી નીકળી પડે 'એ મારા બાપલીયાવ મારા વાલાવ હાલો હાયલા રાખો.' બળદ ને કહેતો જાય, પૂછડું મરોડતો જાય ને ગાડું હંકારતો જાય. વળી મનમાં આવે તો ભજન કે પ્રભાતિયા પણ લલકારે, 'એ... જા...ગને તું જા.. દ...વા.... લલકારતો જાય, એના કંઠે સરસ્વતી માં બિરાજમાન. જીવલો નીકળે ને ગામવાળા ઘડિયારું
