एक आठ साल का लड़का था नाम था भोलू वो गांव में अपने घर में रहता था और पढ़ने के लिए गांव से दस किलोमीटर दूर एक स्कूल में जाता था उसके घर के आसपास चीड़ के पेड़ों का घना जंगल था जिसमे सभी प्रकार के जानवर बड़े सहज ढंग से रहते थे भोलू जब जंगल में जाता तो दादाजी कहते भोलू किसी जानवर को तंग मत करना, वो भी तुम्हारे मित्र बन सकते हैं जब मैं तुम्हारी उम्र का था तब इस जंगल में एक ख़ास बात थी, यहां के शेर, भालू, बन्दर, मोर, हिरन, जंगली मुर्गा, खरगोश सब बहुत प्यार से रहते थे और यहां रहने वाले सब लोगों को नाम से और आवाज़ से पहचानते थे
