“એક પાકીટ નું ઇનામ” ….સત્યઘટનાત્મક વાર્તા ... રેલવેની પ્લેટ ફોર્મ ટિકિટ લઈ હું ઉતાવળે ચાલતો હતો….કારણ કે મારી પાછળ એક સાત આઠ વર્ષનો ભિખારી જેવો બાળક.. ‘’એ સાહેબ….એ સાહેબ…’’ કહી પાછળ દોડતો હતો…. હું મારી સ્પીડ વધારતો જતો હતો તેમ તે બાળક પણ ‘’..ઓ.ઓ સાહેબ ઉભા તો રહો..’’ કહી બુમ પાડે જતો હતો. હું મનમાં ખિજાતો ગાળો આપતો હતો…’’આ ભિખારીની જાત…એક ને આપો તો દસ પાછળ પડે…’’ હું થાકી ને ઉભો રહી ગયો,અને જોર થી બોલ્યો… ‘’ચલ અહીંથી જાવુ છે કે પોલીસને બોલાવું.ક્યારનો સાહેબ..સાહેબ કરે છે….લે 10 રૂપિયા.. હવે જતો રહેજે.’’ મેં પોકેટમાંથી પાકીટ કાઢી 10ની નોટ કાઢવા પ્રયત્ન કર્યો..પાકીટ
