અસહ્ય ઉકળાટમાં તે સોફામાં પડખાં ફેરવ્યા કરતી હતી.ફોનને હાથમાં લઈ કોને જોડવો તેની અવઢવમાં બેઠી થઈ ગઈ.જમીને જંપી જતી બહેનપણીને ફોન કરે તો મણ મણ નિસાસા સાંભળવા મળે ચીઢમાં બોલે :'કલાક રહીને વાત કરીશ ' ટપ દઈ ફોન મૂકી , અણગમતા મહેમાનની જેમ ટાળી દે.અમી અકળાઈને ઊભી થઈ ગઈ.રૂમમાં આંટા મારતા પતિદેવને ફોન જોડ્યો પણ બે રીગ પછી ઇરાદાપૂર્વક બંધ કર્યો હોય તેવું તેને લાગ્યું .'ઓહો હજી તો ચાર વાગ્યા છે ,વિનય ગમે તેટલી ઉતાવળ કરશે તો ય છ પહેલાં તો નહીં જ આવી શકે 'નેહાની સ્કૂલબસની રાહ જોવાની નથી ,એને મુક્તિ જ મુક્તિ હતી પણ ચેન પડતું નહોતું.બેઠકખન્ડની એકલતા
