રામપર નાનું એવું ગામ.ગામ નાનુ ખરું પરંતુ ખાધેપીધે સુખી.ગામમાં સાત ધોરણ સુધીનો અભ્યાસ. વધારે ભણવાનું હોય તો શહેરમાં જવું પડે. ગામને પાદર મોટા વડલાનું ઝાડ. ઝાડને ફરતે સીમેંટનો ઓટલો. સાંજ પડે એટલે ‘નિવૃત’ થઈ ગયેલા વૃધ્ધો અહીં આવીને બેસે અને સુખદુ:ખની વાતો કરે. ક્યારેક વળી જુવાનીયાઓની ટીકા પણ કરે. ગામમાં કઈ નવા જુની થાય તો તેની પણ ચર્ચા થાય.કોઈના છોકરાના લગ્ન હોય કે પછી કોઈની દીકરીનું આણું. અહીં બધા સમાચાર જાણવા મળેં. શહેરની હવા હજુ આ ગામમાં લાગી ન હતી. છોકરીઓને નાનપણથી જ ઘરનું શીખવવામાં આવે. છોકરો પણ મોટો થાય એટલે બાપને કામમાં મદદ કરે. ગામમાં થીયેટર નહિ. ટી.વી. પણ
