ऐक પહાડ જેવો જાડિયો કાળિકા માતાના મંદિરના પગથિયાં ઉતરતો મારી તરફ ધસી આવતો હતો. સફેદ ઝભ્ભો-લેંઘો ને સફેદવાળ વાળો એ હાથમાં કાળી પિસ્તોલ લઈ પળમાં મારી પાસે આવીને ઊભો રહ્યો. એ વ્યવસ્થિત ઊભો રહી શકતો નો’તો, લથડતો હતો. ‘લે આ પિસ્તોલ, મારી નાખ મને, મારી નાખ.’ એમ કહીને જાડિયાએ ધ્રુજતા હાથે પિસ્તોલ મને પકડાવી દીધી. હું ગભરાતા મને સાચુકલી પિસ્તોલને તાકી રહ્યો હતો. પહેલીવાર પિસ્તોલ મારા હાથમાં હતી, અત્યાર સુધી થ્રિલરમાં જ જોઇ હતી. પિસ્તોલ ભારે હતી અને મારા રૂંવાડા ઊભા થવાં લાગ્યાં હતાં. આ જાડિયો કરવાં શું
