મેરા અને મધુ નો ત્યાગ મેરા એ ફાટેલો ખાદીનો થેલો ખંભે ચડાવ્યો અને ઘોડિયામાં સુતેલા બે વર્ષનાં બાળકને માથે હાથ ફેરવી કપાળે ચુંબન કર્યું અને ઘરનો દરવાજો ઓળંગતા સામે ઉભેલી સ્ત્રી ના હાવભાવ થી ડધાઈને બોલ્યો “મને ખબર હતી તું પડખું ફેરવી જઈશ, તારા નિર્ણયો મારાં પર થોપવા લાગીશ માટે જ તને કહ્યા વિના જ જવું હતું. તું દરવાજાની સાંકળ બની ને ઉભી છો તો તને જણાવી દઉં કે હું એક બાળકનો પિતા છું. હવે હું નાનો નથી કે તારી દરેક વાત માનું હું જાઉં છું મને રોકવાનો પ્રયત્ન ન કરતી.” સામે ઉભેલી સ્ત્રીએ એક પણ શબ્દ ઉચ્ચાર્યો ન હતો
