હું ઘર બહાર નીકળ્યો, અને ઓટલા પર લટકાવેલ હિંચકા પર બેઠો અને રોજની જેમ હિંચકા ખાવા લાગ્યો. હિંચકો પણ રોજની જેમ રૂમની બારી સુધી જઈને પાછો આવી જતો હતો, પણ મને લાગ્યું કે આજે કૈંક ખૂટતું હતું... આજે બારી બંધ હતી... શોભાઆઆઆઆઆ.... બારી કેમ નથી ખૉલી હું ગુસ્સાથી ચિલ્લાયો. પણ શોભાએ મારો અવાજ સાંભળ્યો હોય એવું લાગ્યું નહિ, સારું થયું.. ન જ ખોલેને બારી.. હવે ખુલ્લી બારીમાંથી શું જોવાનું રહી ગયું હતું મારી લાડલી કશીશ તો જતી રહી, ત્રણ દિવસ થયે. પાંચ વર્ષની આદત, રૂટિન એમ એક દિવસમાં ભુલાવાનું નથી. બંધ બારી જોઈને મને કશિશ યાદ આવી, ઉદાશી સાથે હું તે બંધ બારીને તાકી રહ્યો.
