It was a quite large family comprising of eight members. The head of the family was an aged person, Mr. Chandrasekhar a retired history teacher. His wife Vimlaben, eldest son Kalapi, daughter-in-law Zarna and their two children Mukul and Smita, youngest son Rajendra, his pregnant wife Indu were all part of this large family of a Hindu Brahmin. It was obvious that they too were in great dilemma. They were seriously thinking about leaving their village and their ancestral house.
